Selina Boon has an artistic background that is long and varied. At a young age, she didn’t know what it was that she wanted to do with her artistry, but she knew it would be something in a creative industry. Selina’s passion for fashion developed early on, when the island girl from Florida became obsessed with Vogue magazine and the first generation of supermodels. After a short stint in Graphic and Interactive Communications, her desire to be creative and to make people look and feel beautiful, ultimately led her to the world of hairstyling.

When transitioning into the Seattle, WA hair scene in 2004, Selina volunteered her skill for creating beautiful, modern looks with an edge, to many local fashion shows, photo shoots, and magazine editorials, in addition to catering to her salon guests full time. Her desire for advanced education and passion for session styling led her to become a leading educator with Australian haircare line, Kevin.Murphy, from 2009-2022. With its focus on sustainable ingredients, superior performance and session styling platform, the brand was a perfect fit for her. Selina's journey with the brand allowed her to create a strong foundation in session styling, to explore and expand her creativity, and to work with various teams in the fashion industry.

Currently, Selina resides in Los Angeles, CA where she continues to push the boundaries of her imagination and nurtures her talent by seeking out artistic pursuits and working alongside Masters in the industry.
